Finnick Odair is one of the most beloved characters in the next book. So whoever plays him in the next movies will have some big shoes to fill!

Grant Gustin, bertter known as Sebastian from Glee, has confirmed that he has auditioned for the role.

Some other rumored acotrs that are up for the role are John Carter star Taylor Kitsch, Mirror Mirror‘s Armie Hammer and ex-Taylor Swift crush Garrett Hedlund.

Some of the cast have given their personal opinions on the matter as well.

Alexander Ludwig (Cato) said:

“Whenever I read the books, I always thought Ryan Reynolds would be a great Finnick,”  “Ryan Reynolds is just how I pictured.“

Elizabeth Banks (Effie) seems to trust the casting agents with whoever they decide:

“Everybody that’s ever been mentioned seems fantastic,”  “I’m sure they’ll find the right fit.”

Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) thinks Finnick needs to be played by a tough guy:

“Physically strong, I think that’s a big important thing,”  “I think the physicality would be really important for Finnick because he’s such an imposing character, for sure.”
