It wasn't Harry or Zayn – it was Louis Tomlinson!

He showed off his new tattoo, a bird on his right arm, on the red carpet at the NRJ awards Saturday night in Cannes.

Directioners, isn't it a little bit funny that Louis got a bird tattoo on his arm? Here's what Lou said last year about his feelings on birds:

"I’m scared of birds and pigeons. I can’t stand them. And one once flew into my bathroom window. I went in to have a wee, minding my own business and 'WHOA... there’s a bird in my bathroom!"

Maybe it's there to remind Louis not to be afraid of birds!
