Demi Lovato and Niall Horan may not be dating, but they do spend a lot of time talking together on Skype.

So what goes on during these “Skype dates”? Demi revealed what really happens:

“They think Niall and I flirt while talking on Skype. But in reality, all he does is eat in front of the camera!”

Hmm…so they’re not exactly exchanging steamy romantic looks.

Demi did have this to say about her new Skype buddy: “We’ve become really close friends, and I’m really grateful that I have someone who supports me in all aspects. If I need someone to talk to, he’s there.”

She quickly added, “But we’re not dating! I’m single.”
