Harry Styles and Caroline Flack just broke up right before Harry flew to L.A. to start his U.S. tour...and it might not have been their decision.

At first, we heard that the breakup happened because they didn't want to do long distance while he was touring.

But more people are saying that it was actually a management decision! Apparently, "Music chiefs want American families to latch on to their clean-cut image. It was felt that Harry having a cougar girlfriend wouldn't go down that well." So they forced the couple to end things.

They added that poor Harry has "barely been able to stop crying" over the split. Poor Harry!
