Reportedly, The Secret Life Of The American Teenager star Shailene Woodley has been offered a major role in the sequel.

She would play Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) main love interest, Mary Jane Watson, who will face some serious competition from Gwen Stacy played by Emma Stone. Since the first movie took place while Peter was in high school, the next one will show a more mature Spidey.

Shailene hasn't confrimed whether or not she will take the role- but it would definitely a great opportunity for her.

Shailene recently had a part in the Oscar-nominated film The Descendants (starring George Clooney) which gave her a lot more exposure as an actress.

Now that Secret Life is in its fifth and last season, she will also have a lot more time to explore different acting jobs.
