Taylor Swift released her new album Red last week, and it sold over a million copies in the first seven days!

The last album to reach this many sales was Eminem's album The Eminem Show (1.3 million back in 2002), but Taylor sold almost as many with her previous album Speak Now (1.05 million in 2010).

Taylor is now the only female artist to have two debut weeks with over a million albums sold! Congratulations Taylor! 

When she heard the news, she tweeted her disbelief:

“They just told me Red sold 1.2 million albums first week. How is this real lfe?! You are UNREAL. I love you so much. Thanks a million. ;)”
