Selena Gomez just added a new project to her busy schedule – she'll be working with 10x10, a global campaign to get girls educated and out there in the world making change.

The campaign is making a movie with great role models for girls, which is titled Girl Rising. The women in movie include Selena Gomez, Anne Hathaway, and Meryl Streep. Selena is in some good company – Meryl has won an Oscar, and Anne has been nominated. 

The movie will focus on amazing girls from around the world who are making their dreams come true despite the odds. Sel definitely knows about that – she's come from a poor single-mom family and shot to superstardom.

As part of the campaign, world monuments like the Empire State Building and the London Eye are getting lit up pink to promote the International Day of the Girl, which is on October 11^th.

The event will focus on having conversations, raising awareness, calling people to action, and generally inspiring girls around the globe, which will happen on October 10^th (hence the name 10 x 10).

What a great project for Selena to be working on!
