Selena’s start in the world of television was not easy and  she had to fight very hard to achieve her dream.

Selena said in an interview that when she was 11, a casting director told her she was not good enough to go on TV. This comment, of course, hurt Selena deeply.

But she was strong and did not back down,  she fought for what she wanted and got it, proving that she did, in fact, have lots of talent.

Selena learned a lesson from this and wanted to share with others. She said that if you  you have a goal, if you want to be a doctor or a singer, people will find a way to discourage you. She says she always tells people to go for it, no matter what their goal is!
