Miley Cyrus backed out of Hotel Transylvania...and has been replaced by Selena Gomez!

Back in November, Miley Cyrus was excited about playing Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (read about it here), but her plans have changed. She's officially dropped the movie role. Selena Gomez has stepped in to take over.

Mavis is the daughter of Dracula, who runs a resort in this flick. Her dad wants nothing else to protect her. So things get sticky when a human boy discovers his fancy hotel...and falls for Mavis, of course!

When asked about why Miley dropped the movie, a source said "People drop out of films all the time. Seriously, it's not that big of a deal."

Wambie girls, are you happy Sel's got the part, or would you rather see Miley?
