Rihanna is busy with her new album and on Katy's wedding day, she had meetings and work to do. She could not put off her meetings so she had to skip the wedding!

Katy understood, being a musician herself. Katy and Rihanna are still good friends.  remember that Rihanna was the one who organized Katy's bachelorette party, and even though she wanted to be at the wedding, their friendship is so strong that it doesn't matter in the long run that she could not make it.
