Niall Horan was spotted on crutches this week, but why? Poor Niall was the victim of…a squirrel attack!

Here's what happened while he was playing soccer, in the Irish hottie's own words:

"A squirrel attacked me. I got attacked by a squirrel in Battersea Park. They're dangerous. It's rare. I've torn most of the ligaments in my knee. So no football for me. It's early retirement now. I've got a floating knee-cap!”

Poor Niall! He was already afraid of birds, and now he'll probably be adding squirrels to his list too!
