Rihanna has shyed away from talking too deeply about her past. It seems that it has been long enough that she now feels comfortable talking about Chris Brown more openly.
It's been almost three years since the incident in which Chris left Rihanna brusied, beaten up, and damaged physically and emotionally.
Ri had this to say about Chris in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar:
“When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love”
“The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye, my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life.”
Rihanna had to learn the hard way that it is never okay to let anyone treat you that way, and she did the right thing by separating herself from Chris after the incident.
“I have been conservative in my love life… well it’s pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find cool, I’ll hang out. But the minute I find out that we’re getting too close I just don’t let people in,” she confesses.
“That’s not good, something I’m not proud of. But it’s a place that has been tampered with before.”
Rihanna is afraid to get close to someone because she has gotten hurt bad by someone she thought she loved. But on the bright side, she is young and has a lot of time to heal and find someone who can treat her the way a woman deserves to be treated.
