After hundreds of different stories about a potential Payzer breakup, Liam Payne has finally confirmed the story.

Lots of reports were going around Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. But with stories about celebs, it's hard to believe anything unless the actual people involved say something….and Liam finally opened up.

He didn't say why they had broken up, but he did confirm that it happened.

Liam said "Danielle is great. I really hope we can still be friends. I bought her a car for her birthday, but she really isn't fussed by money or fame."

He also cleared up any rumors that Danielle was just using him for his pop star status: "She was talking about dyeing her hair blonde and I said she should. She said that she couldn't afford it - which was mad. She wouldn't even ask me for the money for that."

According to the Examiner, Danielle initiated the breakup because she was tired of never getting to see her busy boyfriend. She also reportedly was upset by the obsessive Directioners and online hate she got sent.

They also said that the breakup wasn't mutual, and that Liam wasn't happy about it.

However, it's impossible to know if the Examiner's version is true or not until Liam or Danielle explain the truth.

Liam and Danielle met on the set of the X Factor (he was a contestant and she was a dancer), and dated for two years.
