Katy Perry has earned the title of Woman of the Year from Billboard. Congrats, Katy!

Why did they choose her? Well, she has five #1 songs from her latest album Teenage Dream, which topped the charts for 100 weeks in a row.

She also had a really successful tour, which sold out in 124 places around the world. Katy donated lots of the ticket sales money to charity!

Past winners of the Woman of the Year award include Beyonce, Fergie, and Taylor Swift.

Billboard’s editorial director said this about Katy: “With what seems like a never-ending supply of record-breaking, chart-topping hits, coupled with her unique and fresh style, Katy Perry is hands-down one of the most exciting and inspiring artists in the industry today.”
