Essence magazine calls them 'Young, Black and Amazing' and these kids certainly are super talented!
The list includes and highlights Willow Smith,11, Quvenzhane Wallis, 8, Coco Jones, 14, Gabrielle Douglas,16, and Lia Neal, 17.
Willow’s courage to be herself and ability to articulate her own style and new single “I Am Me” helped her get on the list.
Quvenzhane’s Oscar-worthy acting in Beasts of the Southern Wild awed audiences and made her the perfect pick from young Hollywood for the magazine.
Coco Jones has become a celebrity in her own right, even though her dad is an NFL superstar. She starred in Disney Channel’s movie Let It Shine and will be performing on the “New and Next” stage at the Essence Festival.
Gabrielle Douglas and Lia Neal (seen above) will both be competing in the 2012 London Olympic Games, representing the USA. Gabrielle is set to be the next gymnastics star and is being called “the next Dominique Dawes” while Lia is only the 2nd African American girl swimmer to participate in the Olympics.
All of these chicks are awesome and truly inspiring!
