Adele’s music inspires people all over the world, but this week her tunes helped out a young fan in a coma.
7-year-old Charlotte Neve was in a coma after suffering from some serious bleeding in her brain (a hemorrhage). Doctors said she wasn’t going to survive. But then, Adele’s smash hit “Rolling in the Deep” started playing on the radio.
Her mom Leila started singing along to the tune, and then this is what happened:
“Charlotte started smiling, and I couldn’t believe it. It was the first time she had reacted to anything since the hemorrhage. The nurses were astounded and told me to keep singing, and she smiled again.”
“The nurses said it was like it ‘unlocked her’ and from that day she started getting better and better.”
And luckily, Charlotte is all better now and well enough to be back in school. Wow, how amazing!
