Demi Lovato and Niall Horan finally got to hang out in person at the VMAs, and they hit it off so much that they went out for tacos afterward.

Of course, this had lots of people saying they were out on a date. But is it true?

A source at L.A.'s Pink Taco said this: “It looked like a first date. [They were] sharing guacamole and queso as they got to know one another, and kept it really private and low key.”

However, another source disagreed: “Demi just isn't interested in Niall that way at all. She sees him as nothing but a friend. In fact, she's still head over heels in love with Wilmer Valderrama and it's only a matter of time before they get back together.”

Demi herself said that she isn't dating the One Direction hottie in a post-VMAs interview: “There is nothing going on. Niall's my friend.”
