Demi Lovato didn't perform at the actual VMAs show, but she helped get the crowd pumped up during the pre-show.

She performed for tons of fans waiting for her at the Staples Center. She rocked the show in an all-black ensemble and showed off her new very blonde hair.

During the show, Demi won the award for the Best Video With a Message for “Skyscraper.”
