Bridgit Mendler released her very first album Hello My Name is...last week, and she sat down with Seventeen magazine to talk about the big event.
About the first time she heard the single “Ready Or Not” on the radio:
“I was driving from my hometown of Washington D.C. to Baltimore. It was so cool! I can’t wait to hear what people think of the album. I really hope girls can relate to it.”
About her favorite songs on her album:
“”Forget To Laugh” is really fun and super-sassy. It’s about a girl who wants a guy to be sorry for breaking up with her. She wants bad things to happen to him because he left her!...I don’t wish ill upon other people, but it’s fun to write about.
She added.
““Hurricane” is my favorite song on the album. It’s about how a relationship is full of drama, like a roller-coaster! And I love “Rocks On My Window,” which is very Seventeen. It’s about a girl sitting in her room, flipping through a magazine, and she is just waiting for her crush to stand outside her window, serenade her, and run away with her.”
About how she manages to perk up when she had a bad day, style-wise:
“I’m prone to getting dark circles under my eyes when I’m tired, so I l use cover-up and instantly feel more confident. I also love eyeliner and mascara, but that’s pretty much all the makeup I wear. In terms of fashion, I love adding a fun scarf to whatever I’m wearing—it’s a great way to dress up a plain outfit!”
