Christmas is coming and for the holidays one of the most wanted gifts is a pet cat or doggy.

If you get a puppy or kitten for Christmas, it could be the best gift you get. However, you have to make sure you can deal with the responsibility if you ask for this gift. Dogs and cats depend on us completely. You will have to give it everything it needs and train it to live in your house. 

Also remember that dogs get bigger, and this is important when you are choosing a breed. 

If your parents let you get a pet, the best thing to do is adopt one from the pound because these are animals that really need a home. At the pound you will find all sorts of animals of all ages looking to be loved and cared for by their new owner. 

 Recently Sandra Bullock adopted a dog from the pound that is missing one paw. Many people would not want to adopt a pet missing a paw, but Sandra Bullock didn't mind!
