Taking care of your hair is important, but did you know what you eat is important too?
Yep, your diet can change how your hair looks! So if you want to have smooth, shiny locks, here are some things you should be eating.
Omega 3 fatty acids. Don't freak out because it has the word 'fat' in it – these are really good for you! You can get them from nuts (try walnuts), fish like salmon and sardines, and flaxseed.
Protein, so make sure you're adding some meat, eggs, or dairy to what you eat. Protein makes your hair strong!
Vitamins A and C. The best place to get these is from fresh fruit and veggies. For vitamin A, try tomatoes, carrots, squash, spinach, cantaloupe, and mangoes. For vitamin C, eat broccoli, green peppers, kale, oranges, pineapple, and strawberries. You can also take a multivitamin.
Vitamin B12, which stops your hair from breaking. Fish, beans, eggs, peanut butter, oatmeal, and yogurt are all good sources of B12.
Zinc, which you can get from food like pecans, cashews, almonds, and oysters. This prevents your hair from falling out.
If you add these things to your diet, you'll have gorgeous healthy hair in no time!
