Anyone who has had dog knows just how clever they are. However, dog intelligence is now confirmed by science. 

A scientist from the US said that his research has concluded that a dog has the same level of intelligence as a 2 and a half year old child.  It doesn't really seem like much, but you have to remember that a 2 year old can tell wrong from right and speak. Dogs can do all of this too. According to the study, dogs know 200 words and know how to take advantage of humans to get their own way. 

They even know how to count! Only to five, but that's a lot for an animal. They also have little problems, such as is shown in this video. The issue is how to get the ball from the pool without getting wet. 

Dog smarts also depends on the breed and it looks like the smartest are gods from the Collie family as well as German Shepards and Poodles.
